Happy Birthday Daddy!

We celebrated Nathan's birthday Saturday. We hope it was one of the best because you deserve it! You work so hard for us, working your regular job and several part-times so I can stay home with the girls. You come home from work and always help out never complaining. Your humor and positive attitude keep us going. We love you so much and hope you enjoy your game.

Sophie worked hard decorating Daddy's "prize"!

Russ and I went in together and got Nathan the Rock Band game.

Happy nine months to you sweet Ava. I'll post her height and weight stats when she goes for her check-up later this week.
This picture is of something you will NEVER see. Ava letting someone besides me hold her much less falling asleep in their arms. You must have the magic touch Uncle Russ!

Everyone had fun playing the game. My brother, Josh, came over to play too.

That evening we went to Nana's and Papa's house for a cook-out and birthday cake.

Braves Game

We went to the Braves game with some good friends last Thursday. We had really great seats, field level on the third base line. It was the girls first Braves game. They did really well considering we had four seats with four adults and three children sitting in them. I guess it was kind of Ava's second game since we did go last August when I was 9 months pregnant with her!

Last day of school

Today was Sophie's last day of school. It was such a bitter sweet day. She had the best teachers and kids in her class - only about eight children and two teachers. She had a rocky start at the beginning of the school year of not wanting to be away from me. After that she loved going. It is kind of sad that this time has gone by so quickly and she is growing up so fast. Next year she will be going back and will be in the three year old preschool.

They had a jump house for the classes to play in - that started her summer vacation off right!

Master Gardener's Tour

Last Saturday Jeanette, Sophie, Ava, and I went on the Master Gardener's Tour. It was quite a day getting in and out of the car to see about six or seven gardens. It was a great tour this year, all beautiful gardens. We ended the day with going to see Nathan at KSU where he was announcing the baseball games (sorry no pics of that). I can't believe how much we did in one day and the girls were great.

Bathtime, Boots, Mother's Day Luncheon, & Ava's Latest

Sophie's class had a Mother's Day luncheon last week. It was very sweet. All the mom's got a laminated scrapbook of pictures of their child throughout the school year. It was really special to have some alone time with Sophie while Ava slept in the nursery.

Our little Ava is pulling up to her knee's on anything within her reach and trying to crawl. She also just cut her first tooth. And she is saying mama, papa, and baba - just growing up so fast!

Thomas

A couple of weeks ago we went to Chattanooga to ride Thomas the Train. Nathan's mom went with us and we had a great time. Sophie loved all the activities they had for the kids. She especially like seeing a chicken standing on a goats back at the petting farm. She laughed and talked about that for days.

Silly Daddy

Before:

Nathan's mom went with us to use his train ticket because he gets motion sick. He tried to ride with us anyway.

After:

They held up the train so Nathan could run and get his mom to take his place. We have to joke with him that a big, tough police officer can't ride Thomas the Train!

Welcome Baby Tylar

John and Renata welcomed Baby Tylar to the world almost three weeks ago. Sophie just loves her baby cousin. She had a difficult time adjusting when Ava was born but I guess now she is getting used to babies.

Cute Pictures

Here are some cute pictures of the girls. Ava in Sophie's old hat. Sophie making Daddy proud by showing some Buccaneer spirit.
