A Fun Week

Last weekend Nana, the girls, and I went to the Bethlehem Walk. It was so neat. You first walked through the city walls then through the town of Bethlehem set back in the time Jesus was born. It was very detailed. They had shops set up, a blacksmith, tax collector, Roman soldiers, and so much more. It ended with a live manger scene with what I heard one little boy say, "a real baby Jesus."

This is Sophie's ballet/tap class. The parents got to sit in the classroom and watch their class and the dance routines they did to Christmas songs.

Nana, the girls, and I met at the Marietta Square to play tourist on Wednesday. We went to the Gone With the Wind museum, the Marietta History Museum, Glover Park, and then for pizza. We had a great time.
Sophie is standing by the first baby carriage in Atlanta. Rhett and Scarlett are in the picture too!

I think this was one of the dresses Scarlett wore in the movie.

Ashley's coat.

After seeing both museums we walked over to Glover Park. The girls got to run around and play. Here they are in the gazebo where Nathan and I got married more than six years ago.

We also saw Santa in the Square. He was so sweet but Sophie was as she said, "...a little bitty shy." And Ava doesn't have many people that she lets hold her.

Sophie's Christmas party at her preschool.

This is a picture Sophie drew. Daddy asked, "What is it?" Sophie said, " It's an angel for Jesus." Then Nathan said, "That's beautiful. Can we take a picture of it?" And Sophie said," It's kind of only for God."

Christmas pictures

These are some pictures we had made recently. There are other cute ones too that I will post later -- when I figure out how to rotate the pictures so they are not sideways!

Getting ready for Christmas

Making Christmas tree ornaments

Making cookies

Decorating the tree

Writing letters to Santa

Every so often Pampers sends me a newborn size diaper in the mail (kind of funny-they must think I have another baby every few months!?). But Sophie had fun putting the tiny diaper on her baby doll.

We recently got our chimney cleaned and the gas logs taken out. We have already had about three fires with real fire wood---so cozy!

Thanksgiving

Started out the day by watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

These girls are so sweet together. Now that Ava is bigger and walking they love playing together.

The Wiggles Concert

Sophie had a great time at the Wiggles concert. Ava slept through half of it. I guess Ava is still not quite ready to sit through a show. Sophie was totally star struck when one of the Wiggly dancers came up and talked to her twice!

Lots of catching up

We had quite a busy October. These are pictures from our trip to St. Mary's through Halloween and to my brother's birthday get-together. Hopefully, I'll start being a better blogger and posting more regularly instead of doing an entire month in one post!

My brother's birthday get-together

Last weekend my family came over for a cook-out to celebrate both my little brother's birthdays. We had a good time. We are rarely all together so it was nice visiting.

Halloween

Daddy carved a pumpkin to look like Grumpy on one side and Cinderella on the other. Sophie helped scoop the seeds out.

My little Snow White and Dopey dwarf. I put Ava's costume together and made her hat!

We had so much fun at a pumpkin patch we went to. The girls picked out about 20 baby pumpkins and one big pumpkin. They had fun going on a hayride and playing on a tire swing.

These pictures are from "Boo at the Zoo."

The girls and I went to Kate's third bithday party in St. Mary's. It was the longest trip I have been on with just the girls. It went really well. Deanna, Jon, and her parents were so gracious to let us stay with them. Kate and Sophie got a lot of playtime together. It was so nice seeing our old neighbors again.

One of my favorite pictures-so sweet!

This baby can sleep anywhere and through anything. She slept through almost half the party.
